Our Government is Oblivious to Invasion

3 ¼ min

Recently while driving from town to my house, I was running through some radio stations when I landed on the Glenn Beck show. His guest was Lara Logan, a journalist and commentator unfamiliar to me, and I was sickened and horrified by what I heard. I wish I were exaggerating, but what that woman had to say left me depressed for the rest of the day.

We are being invaded—and not just by illegal immigrants.

Logan, an expert on the situation at our border with Mexico, had much to say about the cartels that are behind the current influx of illegal immigrants into the United States. She relayed that the cartels no longer resemble what most of us, including me, have believed them to be, drug gangs battling for power with one another. No, they are now making millions each and every day smuggling immigrants into our country, including sexual criminals, murderers, and slaves.

Members of these cartels also differ from their predecessors in other ways. Many of them are trained in battlefield maneuvers and the use of military weapons, in addition to being skilled with technology. By threats, murder, and bribery, they have cowed many politicians and the police, and they viciously and they kill viciously without repercussions. Recently, they openly yelled at members of our Congress who were on a fact-finding mission to the border.

Meanwhile, as Logan reported, our side is asleep at the wheel, still trying to fight these heartless killers with tactics doomed to failure.

Border agents apprehended more than 100,000 illegal immigrants in February alone. Many of them have paid only a portion of the money demanded by the cartels for smuggling them across the border. Unless they repay the remainder, their relatives back home are in danger, and the debtors may be tracked down even in the United States. It’s called human trafficking, and we are enabling it.

Yet those in the Biden administration pretend to be oblivious to the situation. They refuse to label this invasion of our country a crisis, a calamity they themselves created in the last three months by declaring in favor of open borders. As a result, we are admitting tens of thousands of foreigners into our country who will compete with Americans for jobs, who will join our welfare and housing rolls, who will flood some of our schools and overwhelm social services, and who are subject to horrendous treatment by the cartels in their journey to America.

Even worse, we are enabling the cartels to earn enormous sums of money from those crossing the border, money that will only make these criminal gangs even more powerful. Can anyone doubt that their hideous acts of violence will soon find a place in our border states?

By allowing this situation, our own government has declared war on the rest of us.

What sort of a government inflicts such harm on its own people? What are the invisible bureaucrats in this administration thinking? And what is their end game?

A basic duty of any government is to protect and defend its citizens. Given the ugliness at the border and the involvement of the cartels, does anyone really believe our president and Congress are fulfilling that duty?

My only disagreement with you is semantic: I believe our "leaders" are not oblivious to the issue. They're fully aware, but not willing to address it in a substantial manner for a variety of reasons. Politics, "Social Justice" issues, the fundamental challenges of border security, and I'm sure there are other problems that plague this subject. In the end, I firmly believe that the politicians are completely aware of the problem, but are simply unwilling to address it.

It's not an invasion. "Invasion" implies that the government of the country discerns the threat and will act to do something about it. What we have here is what I would call "hostile colonization," and the government does nothing about it because it perceives the activity to be in its interests. To say that it's all because the Democrats want permanent one party rule is an oversimplification. While that's true, the GOP is complicit; notice how almost none of them want to talk about it. They see a twofer, (1) cheap labor that is much more docile than those awful Americans who expect a decent wage, and (2) acquisitive consumers who will buy all sorts of shiny trinkets and homes they cannot afford (remember 2008?). The latter point is important, because in poor countries, where most of these people come from, conspicuous consumption, the more ostentatious the better, is an important way of separating yourself from your poorer relatives, a way of showing you've "made it." (BTW, this is not confined to foreigners. Plenty of American subgroups do this, and even certain billionaires.)

You are absolutely correct; except I cannot believe corporate America truly wants them. My company spends huge amounts of money, time and effort to insure against hiring illegals. In fact, we would rather not have any of them, as we need people with a decent education and who can at least speak English. No, this is vote harvesting for the future, period. A Lowes manager told me that they cannot get workers, as their $15+ per hour is taxed, while the unemployment is not, vote buying, period.

The push to infiltrate our country with foreign invaders has been going on at least since Obama took office. It is a vicious leftist strategy to dilute our population with foreigners and then to shower those foreigners with benefits and perks, gratis the American taxpayer, so that they'll vote illegally in our elections for Democrats. We know the Left wants to create a "new world order" in which all sovereign nations like ours forfeit their sovereignty to join the global society as envisioned by foreign-led orgs such as the WHO and UN. Look at poor Paris and how that gorgeous city of light and French culture became a cesspool of radical Mvslim doctrine and terror thanks to Macron's communist leanings and Marxist policies. French women and girls, for example, have been terrorized by gangs of male Mid dle Eastern clerics who mob round them and threateningly castigate them for wearing a skirt or lower-cut top. These same men have stopped daily commerce cold by putting down their magic carpets en masse in the middle of busy Parisian streets to pray to Me cca. Refugees have hijacked Europe because its Leftist leadership have all conspired to weaken their country's culture, so it will be more pliable and meek as they move it toward their globalist wet dream. Of course these ignorant and evil politicians all imagine it'll be he or she that helps to rule this one-nation world of theirs, because their arrogance and indoctrination allow for nothing less and certainly not for common sense.

Jeff, your piece is valid, and good.. BUT PLEASE do NOT refer to these invaders and tresspassers as "illegal immigrants". Words have meanings, and meanings have consequences. IMMIGRANT is someone who has gone through the steps to obtain clearnce and permission to leav his own country of residence and relocate as a legal resident, often on a pathway toward full citizenship. Thus there is nothing "illegal" about ANY immigrant. The term means theyve done i it right and legally. The teirm "illegal" connected with "immigrant" forms an oxymoron. Nope, these folks are unlawfu foreign invaders, and MUST be repulsed. The FACT that so many in our gummit are failing/refusing to do that means they are violating their owaths of office for whaterver their positioin is. That is gorunds for legal action, both civil and criminal. WHEN will someone take appropriate action agasint these cretins? (I mean the gummit uffishuls who are aiding abetteing and allowing this invasion.

I apologize, Tionico, for giving you a down-arrow. It was actually supposed to be an up arrow--and I'd give you several if I could. Unfortunately, this platform does not allow one to negate an up or down response, so if one clicks on something inadvertently, he or she can not change it.

Given the commitment to be a member of UN, Geneva post war Eleanor-Hiss Conventions, WTO, NAFTA and repetition of our integration and indeed leadership of Truman-Obamav" liberal world democratic Order(without real borders),. What Do You Expect? Trump incompetently, unsystematic ally, and aided by bumbling second rate political aides, not strategic thinkers or military men like Marshall or Kissinger, failed to disassemble what in his guy and that of others knew is a major Province, USA, within a larger world conglomerate.
